Education and Training:
- Certification by the Canadian Board of Registered EEG Technologists (CBRET) or Board of Registration of EMG Technologists of Canada (BRETC)
Experience:
- Two (2) years’ experience in the capacity of a paramedical professional is preferred
Knowledge/ Skills/Ability:
- Demonstrated ability to record accurate high quality recordings and test results (EEG, EMG, EP)
- Well-developed patient assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation skills
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the proven ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians and other health care professionals
- Proven ability to problem solve deficiencies (patient and/or technical)
Personal Suitability:
- Demonstrated positive work record and good attendance record
French Language Service Designation:
Bilingualism requirements will be posted in accordance with the FLS Designation Plan. If a position is designated bilingual and no bilingual candidates (both internal and external) meet the qualifications, unilingual candidates may be considered.
