Education and Training: 

  • Certification by the Canadian Board of Registered EEG Technologists (CBRET) or Board of Registration of EMG Technologists of Canada (BRETC)

 

Experience:

  • Two (2) years’ experience in the capacity of a paramedical professional is preferred

 

Knowledge/ Skills/Ability:

 

  • Demonstrated ability to record accurate high quality recordings and test results (EEG, EMG, EP)
  • Well-developed patient assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation skills
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the proven ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians and other health care professionals
  • Proven ability to problem solve deficiencies (patient and/or technical)

 

Personal Suitability:

  • Demonstrated positive work record and good attendance record

 

French Language Service Designation:

Bilingualism requirements will be posted in accordance with the FLS Designation Plan.  If a position is designated bilingual and no bilingual candidates (both internal and external) meet the qualifications, unilingual candidates may be considered.
