Medical Radiation Technologist

Education and Training:

• Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) is required
• Successful completion of Breast Imaging 1 and Breast Imaging 2 required (previously Mammo 1 and Mammo 2)
• Imaging Breast Pathology, Certificate in Breast Imaging-Diagnosis (CBID) and Certificate in Breast-Imaging –Screening (CBIS) preferred

Experience

• Recent, relevant clinical experience in OBSP and Diagnostic Mammography preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Demonstrate ability to recognize, troubleshoot and communicate equipment related malfunctions and initiate appropriate remedial action
• Demonstrated ability to effectively analyze QC data for the purposes of quality control, verification of test results, and implement corrective action when required.
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the proven ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians and other health care professionals.
