KEY FUNCTION:
Provide support for the management of certification and learning management systems, quality assurance system, and web-based systems (local and provincial), and assist or lead special projects.
REPORTING:
Under the general direction of the Regional Manager, Trauma Services and Centre for Prehospital Care.
DUTIES:
- Support and maintain web applications, including learning management systems, quality assurance systems, and other web-based systems.
- Develop and maintain online educational tools and materials.
- Administer the Learning Management System (LMS), including posting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and tracking of educational learning materials.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for all web based applications.
- Manage and maintain data in web-based applications, including validation processes.
- Develop and support quality assurance and control procedures for all web based applications.
- Support audio and visual equipment and processes for the delivery of educational programs.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to provide expertise and support on all collaborative projects.
- Develop training tools and learning guides to support web applications.
- Actively seek improvements to information technology applications and tools.
- Support operational database management responsibilities, including data analysis and report writing.
- Advise and provide support for social media and digital initiatives.
- Prepare reports and documentation related to quality assurance, certification and education.
- Participate in Policy and Procedures development.
- Coordinate special events and projects as required.
- Determine and align improvement projects with HSN’s Strategic Plan; monitor and adjust to achieve goal outcomes.
- Contribute to learner development by providing academic support, mentorship, preceptorship and supervision as required.
- Participate in education and training specific to current, relevant federal and provincial health and safety legislation, standards and guidelines.
- Educate and promote health, safety and wellness in the work place.

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
- Minimum of a two (2) year Diploma, from an accredited college.
- Certification in Project Management or currently pursuing certification is preferred.
- Ministry of Labour “Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps” training certificate is required.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of two (2) years’ relevant experience in providing technical support for Learning Management Systems, Quality Assurance Systems and other web-based systems.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Demonstrated knowledge of best practice data management methodologies and approaches.
- Demonstrated knowledge of health care systems and health information systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and hardware requirements.
- Demonstrated knowledge of web and graphics design.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Moodle LMS for course creation, content management, learner engagement in online and hybrid learning environments.
- Demonstrated ability to develop quality reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to format and draft correspondence, forms, reports, and proposals.
- Demonstrated excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office software (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook) and patient information systems.
- Demonstrated superior interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated technical competence, judgement, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated training, experience or utilization of quality improvement methodology for process improvement.
- Demonstrated effective time management and organizational skills with the ability to organize and prioritize as required.
