Medical Radiation Technologist

Education and Training:

• Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario(CMRITO)
• Registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
• Magnetic Resonance National Certification as required by the Canadian Association of MedicalRadiation Technologists (CAMRT)
• Contrast Injection Course Certification.
• Formal education in full body cross sectional anatomy is required.
• Ministry of Labour “Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps” training certificate is required.

Experience:

• Technical experience in the field of MRI is required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Demonstrate ability to recognize, troubleshoot and communicate equipment related malfunctions andinitiate appropriate remedial action
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the proven ability to communicateeffectively with patients, physicians and other health care professionals.
