Technician II

Education and Training:

• Successful completion of grade twelve or equivalent (i.e. General Education Development (GED) or Academic and Career Entrance (ACE).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life and Support BCLS.
• Ministry of Labour “Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps” training certificate is required.

Experience:

• Current experience in a diagnostic area preferred.
• Inventory control and purchasing experience preferred.

Knowledge/ Skills/Ability:

• Meditech computer knowledge is required.
• Knowledge of cath lab supplies is an asset.
• Computer skills are essential with the ability to work with data bases.
• Ability to communicate courteously with patients and personnel.
• Ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to safely handle lifting 30 kilograms, pushing and pulling carts.
• Ability to work independently and as a team player.

Personal Suitability:

• Demonstrated positive work record and good attendance record.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
